Strange Valentine Gift vs Top Valentine Gifts

Most of us can admit to being a little addicted to chocolate.... but this is extreme!!

A chinese car dealer covered a VW Beetle in chocolate for Valentine’s Day!

About 200kgs of melted chocolate was spread over the VW Beetle after it was first wrapped in cling film. Seven people worked overnight to make sure the chocolate car was ready to go on display on the morning of Valentine’s Day.

Madness!!

Why not treat your loved one to something a tad more sensible and appropriate - something that won't send them runnig for the nearest strait jacket!

Champagne and truffles
Valentines Hamper
Swarovski Crystal Heart Keyring
Swarovski Crystal Heart Locket Keyring (my personal favourite)
Lillies in Vase (flowers that will never die... excellent!)

We're in the Paper!

check this out - we've had a great write up from the Northern Echo, our local newspaper
Sue and Debbie Have it all Wrapped up!

i especially like the part where they got Debbies surname wrong. How they managed to change her from a Brown to a Wood i do not know.

Enough said, we're extremely pleased with the piece.

Delivery Day Disaster

Christmas is fast approaching, hamper orders are increasing which in turn means deliveries - and lots of them!

Just this week we had a massive order of wine bottles delivered. The delivery guy came and delivered them to our front door in a barrow! Bless him, he did also help to bring them into the office!

The previous week we had a pallate of picnic hampers (with plates, wine glasses etc packed inside - see pic) delivered, this time Mr Delivery man was not so helpful.
We had two options (bearing in mind that "we" at the time were two smallish (in build) ladies and that we were wearing skirts).

1) to climb up onto the wagon and pass the "full" hampers to each other
2) try to persuade the forklift truck operators from Christian Salvesen (just next door) to give us a hand.

We decided option two was in our best interests. Off we went to ask for their assistance - which they very kindly provided.

So thanks to Christian Salvesen for helping to keep our dignity intact.

The Case of the Exploding Marmalade

This is my first post, so let's make it light!

Briefly, Bountiful Baskets provide bespoke hampers, gifts etc which are handpacked - to an exceptional standard i might add.

I've just received an email from a customer

Thanks for the delivery of our hamper on Tuesday. I just thought you should know that the courier company that you used broke the Marmalade Jar which spoilt the whole hamper by spilling all over it.

As this was a thank you to ********* for her hard work in helping us we feel quite disappointed by this as your hard work in the preparation and display of your hamper had totally been destroyed.

Great start to the day! Exploding marmalade! How to counteract?

Well, we contacted the courier and basically there is no insurance for this type of breakage - we live and learn! As a goodwill gesture they have offered a free delivery.

I've now just finished packing a little gift for our Client by way of apology.

It's not very often this kind of damage occurs (once in a year) but we do like to keep our customers happy and loyal.
